Ookla® recognizes Orange Belgium as the Belgian operator offering the best 5G mobile network on the market
Based on first-half 2025 data, Orange Belgium has been recognized by Ookla® as the Belgian operator offering the best 5G mobile network on the market. These achievements have earned Orange Belgium the Ookla® Speedtest Award™ for Best 5G Network, in which the company achieved a Speedtest Connectivity Score of 69.60. The score reflects the overall mobile user experience, perfectly combining performance indicators such as download and upload speed, web experience, and video streaming quality.
Ookla is a global leader in network and connectivity intelligence. Its Speedtest Connectivity Report provides independent insights into mobile and fixed network performance across markets. The report draws on millions of consumer-initiated tests and quality-of-experience (QoE) measurements, offering a clear view of how networks perform in real-world conditions and during everyday digital activities.
Best 5G network
In the latest report, Orange Belgium recorded the best 5G network performance in the country, achieving a Speedtest Connectivity Score of 69.60. This score consolidates key metrics that capture what users experience most directly, from speed and response time to browsing and streaming quality.
Orange Belgium also posted the fastest average 5G download speed, reaching 156.37 Mbps nationwide. The report further highlights Orange Belgium’s leadership in several Belgian cities, with consistency scores of 94.2% in Antwerp, 93.3% in Ghent, 92.2% in Leuven, and 91.3% in Brussels.
