Orange Belgium announces new features for its hey! brand: a tariff plan for youngsters, the Myhey! App and the hey! community

100% digital, designed for low CO2 impact, generous and evolutive, a few months after its successful launch and based on the first cocreation initiatives it had with its customers, Orange Belgium’s digital brand hey! goes one step beyond with plenty of novelties and a striking evolution of its portfolio:

  • 1 month of strong discounts for all: 7-15-25€ become 5-10-20€
  • The hey! community will also get its own online platform, migrating from dedicated focus groups to a living online platform for direct contacts with the customers.
  • A tariff plan dedicated to youngsters under 26 years old
  • The Myhey! application will be launched this summer and will empower the brand’s customers

As from today, all new customers can opt for an extreme discount, valid for two years, on the already competitive and transparent offers of hey!’s portfolio, with tariff plans beginning at the striking price of 5 euros. The offers in detail:

  • 5 euros for 60min calls, 500 SMS/MMS and 1 GB
  • 10 euros for unlimited calls, unlimited SMS/MMS and 10GB
  • 20 euros for unlimited calls, unlimited SMS/MMS and 40GB

As from 19th June, these discounts will continue to be offered to people younger than 26 years old as the brand’s objective is to meet youngsters’ needs and accompany them in their daily life. Existing customers who are eligible just have to ask to see their tariff plans adapt and offer them the same/much more for a reduced price.

An evolutive offer that is being co-created by the hey! community

Co-creation is not a hollow word for hey!, as it started with frequent focus groups with customers but will evolve, in the coming weeks, into a real online community, in which customers will get the chance to share their feedbacks, suggestions on how the brand should evolve, communicate, operate. In a nutshell, the next strategic move of Orange Belgium’s digital brand will be inspired by customers’ needs and values.

Generous with data

Hey!’s digital brand already was all about co-creation with its customers, who actually inspired the addition of unlimited calls to the medium tariff plan, and its loyalty program Boost, which increases the data volume of every subscription with 25% every three months until doubling it after one year. Which means that, after one year with the new tariffs, a customer will get, for instance, unlimited calls, SMS/MMS and 20GB for only 10 euros.

100% digital with the Myhey! application

During the month July, hey! will also launch its very own mobile app, to allow customers to closely follow their usage, track their invoices or change their tariff plans, for instance. An additional move to closely follow the brand DNA: anticipate and adapt to the youngsters’ needs to really empower them.

Designed for low CO2 impact

Leveraging on its 100% digital value proposition, hey! is one of the most sustainable offers on the Belgian market: no paper for interactions with customers and a fully digital relationship: reducing its environmental footprint to the minimum.

Christophe Dujardin, Chief Consumer Officer of Orange Belgium: “hey! is clearly what we can call a next generation brand. As it’s fully digital, it’s also sustainable. It really empowers its customers and organically evolves following their constant feedbacks, to always offer them the best fitting service, price of offers. The brand identity also sticks to the feedback of our customers, which is why we now made a clear focus on youngsters. In a context of ever-increasing prices for telecom products, we leveraged on the agility of hey!’s busines model to actually lower the prices and strongly shake up the Belgian telco market. And this is only the beginning.”
