Orange Belgium celebrates the festive opening of its new flagship store in Ghent: where innovation meets customer experience

Orange Belgium officially celebrated the opening of its most ambitious retail project to date: a premier telecom flagship store right in the heart of Ghent. The inauguration was attended by Christophe Peeters, alderman for finance, urban development, heritage and administrative simplification in Ghent, alongside a representative of Voka and members of Orange Belgium’s management team. With this shop, Orange Belgium introduces a new benchmark for telecom retail — setting a renewed standard for what customers can expect from an Orange shop in Belgium.

A next‑level customer experience

The flagship store is built around spacious experience zones, an intuitive customer journey and a welcoming team ready to support visitors in a clear and approachable way. Customers can explore the different areas at their own pace and receive personalised guidance whenever they need it. High‑definition interactive screens and immersive spaces enhance the overall in‑store experience and create a modern, engaging environment. The concept reflects Orange Belgium’s ambition to make technology more human, accessible and enjoyable — turning a telecom visit into a smooth, inspiring experience.

Sustainability and circularity at the core

The shop is built with sustainable, modular materials and encourages customers to take part in Orange Belgium’s Re program, the circular return initiative to bring in old or unused devices for refurbishment and a second life. Eco‑friendly smartphones, accessories and digital alternatives to paper highlight the company’s ongoing commitment to responsible connectivity. With this flagship, Orange Belgium makes its circularity strategy even more tangible and intuitive for customers.

A place where everyone can advance digitally

More than a traditional shop, the flagship is designed as a knowledge and innovation hub. A dedicated business corner supports entrepreneurs and professional clients with tailored advice, while additional spaces in the shop host workshops and training sessions aimed at strengthening digital skills and reducing the digital divide. Fully wheelchair-accessible, the shop welcomes all audiences — from residents and students to freelancers and SMEs — who are looking to grow digitally.

Christophe Peeters, alderman for finance, urban development, heritage and administrative simplification for the city of Ghent: “It is positive to see a flagship store of this scale opening in Ghent. It strengthens the diversity of our retail landscape and provides an accessible point of contact for digital and telecom services for everyone in our city.”

Christophe Dujardin, Chief Consumer Officer at Orange Belgium: “With this flagship store, we are setting a new standard for telecom retail in Belgium. It is more than a retail space — it is an innovation hub, a circularity showcase and a place where everyone can experience the full potential of digital connectivity.”

A future‑proof hub for all

With this opening, Orange Belgium reinforces its nationwide retail presence, which today includes 94 telecom hubs across Belgium. The Ghent flagship stands as the company’s most advanced expression of customer experience, digital innovation and responsible connectivity — a place where technology, people and sustainability meet. It marks a new chapter in Orange Belgium’s retail evolution, bringing together innovation, service and community engagement under one roof.
