Orange Belgium continues to grow its Internet network as its fixed-line ISP is declared “Top-Rated Fixed-line Internet Service Provider” by Ookla®

Orange Belgium has recently been recognized as the top-rated fixed-line Internet service provider in Belgium based on analysis by Ookla of Speedtest Intelligence® customer ratings data for Q1-Q4 2022 The global leader in network intelligence and connectivity, released its latest analysis on network performance. Thanks to its commitment to develop its customer experience for fast and viable Internet connections, Orange Belgium demonstrates great performance in the new market study.

Fixed matters

Ookla Speedtest® users were asked to “Rate Your Provider” with a range of one to five stars. With 3.4 points, Orange Belgium is considered as the top-rated fixed-line Internet service provider. This result confirms the operator’s focus on an always-better user experience, anytime and anywhere. “With the increase of mobile usage, we tend to overlook the importance of fixed network’s performance. Yet, a large amount of our daily activities relies on the quality of this channel: office work, home automation – which often includes security systems, digital media and entertainment applications – few things are more frustrating than a slow streaming connection, etc.” reminds Stefan Slavnicu, Chief Technology Officer at Orange Belgium.

Consistency is a crucial benchmark element, as it takes into account a series of parameters for which the user tests met the minimum recommended performance thresholds. With this consideration as the top-rated fixed-line Internet service provider, Orange Belgium proves its constant focus on an optimal customer experience. On top of that, Orange Belgium aims to offer its customers more efficient and faster services in the network.

A focus on user experience

Our aim is to offer a seamless Internet experience to our customers. We continuously invest to be at the forefront of Internet network technologies and to always improve our offering. This shows that we can still differentiate ourselves technically by focusing on end-to-end quality because a mobile network and the services it offers are not only about access but also about how we manage capacity and its means: transport network, IP network, Internet peering interfaces,” declares Stefan Slavnicu, Chief Technology Officer at Orange Belgium.
