Orange Belgium is in the starting blocks behind Team Belgium

Orange Belgium, premium telco partner of Team Belgium, views the Olympic and Paralympic Games as an unparalleled opportunity to showcase its innovative capabilities and extensive connectivity. If you want to support our athletes – and the planet – in a meaningful way, Orange is here

In the run-up to the start of the Olympics, Orange Belgium launched the allconnected supporters platform where fans have already sent hundreds of messages directly to their favorite Belgian athletes. These messages are particularly personal, encouraging and motivating for our Belgian athletes and demonstrate the support and confidence of the #GoTeamBelgium supporters. The campaign also involves engagement on Orange Belgium's social networks, such as Instagram and Facebook, including video clips featuring testimonials from Team Belgium athletes sharing their experiences, goals, and emotions. These actions will continue throughout the Games, with new videos and a series dedicated to the Paralympic Games as well.

During the Olympic Games, when you want to know more about those you support, Orange is here to inform you. Thanks to Orange Belgium's presence in the Middelkerke Olympic Village launched by, the COIB where up to 45.000 fans will be able to come together to support Team Belgium and experience the Games. Orange Belgium will be offering an immersive digital bike race with prizes to be won. In addition, talented influencer and content creator Tom Desplechin will be on hand to report from Paris on the women's basketball final and take charge of Orange Belgium's Instagram account.

Orange Belgium is also taking advantage of the Olympic Games to encourage its customers to also be supporters of the planet by taking part in the MaREthon : a 42-day recycling race, offering everyone 21 euros per phone, or 42 euros for two phones, brought back to Orange shops. The goal is to collect and recycle 10,000 old mobile phones between 26 July and 5 September. As part of Orange's RE Programme, this action forms the meeting point between sports, fans, and environmental action.

Finally, Orange Belgium will continue to connect Team Belgium athletes and fans after the Olympic and Paralympic Games with its Giga supporter’s initiative. Belgian professional athletes will surprise amateur sportsmen and women during their weekly sporting activities, as a thank you for their support during the Games and as a source of inspiration. These exchanges will be illustrated by a series of short and long-form video reports on Orange Belgium's social networks, focusing on 4 disciplines that open sport to all: Paralympic Sports, Hockey, Gymnastics and Basketball.

Isabelle Vanden Eede, Chief Brand, Communication & ESG Officer at Orange Belgium: “We are proud to support our Team Belgium athletes and to fulfil our role as a premium brand partner and responsible telco operator. Our goal is to connect all Belgian fans with Team Belgium athletes so that we can share and experience this fantastic sporting event together. This is why Orange is here.”
