Orange Belgium is launching the HONOR brand in its smartphone portfolio and has obtained ‘operator exclusivity’ for the launch of the HONOR 70 in Belgium. The elegant HONOR 70 features a powerful dual camera system as well as innovative vlogging capabilities. In line with Orange Belgium’s commitment to offer its customers sustainable products, the HONOR 70 has an Eco-Rating of 81, making it one of the greenest smartphones in the catalogue.

Fusing fashion and technology

Honor is a smartphone brand that was founded by Huawei in 2013, which then became independent in 2020, allowing its devices to continue to benefit from all Google mobile services.

The HONOR 70 stands out with its stylish design and a thickness of only 7.9 mm. It also has a superb curved 6.67-inch Full HD+ OLED screen and a total weight of 178g, effortlessly fitting into small handbags and pockets.

A Snapdragon 778G+ chip bundled with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage guarantees good performance. Last but not least, the HONOR 70 offers excellent autonomy thanks to its 4800 mAh battery, compatible with fast charging at 66 W, which allows a 60% recharge in 20 minutes.

Answering the needs of vlogging customers with exceptional video and photography innovations

Delivering a best-in-class photography experience, the HONOR 70 comes with an outstanding Dual Main Camera featuring industry-leading Computational Photography powered by AI and HONOR’s proprietary imaging solution.

The HONOR 70 is equipped with a photo block having 3 sensors, with the particularity of integrating a high-end 54 Mpx SONY sensor for the main module, a 50 Mpx ultra-wide-angle sensor and a depth sensor of 2 Mpx.

Delivering exceptional videography innovations, the HONOR 70 introduces the industry’s first Solo Cut Mode for vlogging, offering a ground-breaking solution that enables users to produce portrait vlogs that spotlight a specific person in a group video using Person Autofocus Tracking Technology.

With Dual Video Streaming, multiple videos can be produced simultaneously, including an individual video with a solo view of the subject being spotlighted alongside the main group video with full view, perfect for content creators who want to choose the hero of their story.

High-performance, fashionable and green, with an Eco-Rating of 81

Eco-Rating measures the environmental impact of smartphones on many criteria. The higher the score, the lower the environmental impact. All HONOR smartphones have an Eco-Rating above 80.

Christophe Dujardin, Chief Consumer Officer at Orange Belgium, comments: “We are continuously improving and optimizing our device catalogue to meet and anticipate customer’s needs in terms of performance and design at the best value for money, without forgetting our commitment to the environment. The Honor 70 is a smartphone that offers outstanding performances at an affordable price. At Orange it is a priority to select, promote and sell smartphones that have an Eco-Rating above 80 in order to reduce the production of CO2 relating to their manufacture and distribution.”

Eco-Rating is also a great tool to engage manufacturers in CO2 reduction, as smartphones with higher scores tend to have lower CO2 impact on average. Devices with an Eco-Rating above 80 have a CO2 value for manufacturing below 40kg.
