Orange Belgium welcomes Jeroen Degadt to its Executive Committee as Chief Enterprise Officer

Orange Belgium today announces changes to its Executive Committee, further strengthening its leadership team to support the company’s ‘Trust the future’ strategy. As of October 1st, Jeroen Degadt will assume the role of Chief Enterprise Officer. He will succeed Werner De Laet, who will step down from his role after more than 28 years of dedicated service to the company.

After more than 28 years within the Orange Group, Werner De Laet is leaving the company to pursue new professional challenges. After holding several senior finance positions, including Chief Financial Officer of Mobistar from 2006 to 2013, serving as Chief Executive Officer of Orange Luxembourg from 2013 and as Chief Wholesale & Innovation Officer of Orange Belgium from 2016 onwards, Werner has played a key role as Orange Belgium’s Chief Enterprise Officer since 2019, leading the company’s enterprise business and driving the development of solutions and services for business and institutional customers.

Effective October 1st, Jeroen Degadt will succeed him within Orange Belgium’s Executive Committee. Holding a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering from the Katholieke Hogeschool Sint-Lieven in Ghent and a Master's degree in Applied Economics from the Ghent University, Jeroen has nearly 22 years of experience in the Belgian telecommunications sector. He is a seasoned executive who built much of his career during an 18-year tenure at Belgacom/Proximus, where he held key management roles across strategy, product development, and operational leadership. In July 2023, he was appointed General Manager of DIGI Belgium. He stepped down from his leadership position at DIGI in June 2026.

Xavier Pichon, Chief Executive Officer at Orange Belgium: "I would like to sincerely thank Werner for his unwavering commitment to Orange Belgium, his extensive expertise, and his exceptional contribution to our Enterprise Business Unit, serving our B2B customers. The launch of ‘Orange Business’ in 2025 is but one of Werner’s many achievements. I wish him every success in his future endeavours. The Executive Committee joins me in welcoming Jeroen to Orange Belgium and wishing him every success in this new challenge. Bringing valuable telecom expertise and solid experience in leading teams and partners, Jeroen will play a key role in the realisation of our strategic project ‘Trust the future’."

Johan Deschuyffeleer, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Orange Belgium: “Werner has been an important part of Orange Belgium’s journey for more than 28 years. His deep telecom expertise, leadership and commitment have made a lasting contribution to our company. We are grateful for everything he has brought to Orange Belgium and wish him every success for the future. At the same time, we are delighted to welcome Jeroen, who will bring fresh energy and expertise to our leadership team.”

Mari-Noëlle Jégo-Laveissière, Executive Director, CEO of Orange Europe: “Over more almost three decades, Werner has made a significant contribution to Orange Belgium and to the wider Orange Group. His expertise, entrepreneurial spirit and commitment have helped shape our business and strengthen our presence in the Belgian market. I warmly thank Werner for his dedication and wish him all the best for the next chapter. I am equally pleased to welcome Jeroen and look forward to working together on the next phase of Orange Belgium’s development.”
