Orange launches Virtual Reality headset and application to make high-quality VR accessible for everyone

Today Orange launches the Orange VR1 headset, a virtual reality device that goes beyond gaming and makes virtual reality experiences available for everyone, not only the happy few, thanks to its affordable price and its compatibility with a large range of smartphones. In a nutshell, the perfect Christmas gift…

The Orange VR1 headset has high-quality lenses to protect the eyes and avoid fatigue. It also differentiates itself by the built-in hi-fi headphones to guarantee an impeccable sound, so no external headphone or earplugs are needed. The device also offers a wide viewing angle of 120° (instead of the 101° with traditional VR devices).

Whereas most VR headsets are not always very comfortable, the Orange VR1 headset weighs only 415 grams and has a leather face cushion to ensure a perfect fit without any uncomfortable pressure thanks to the adjustable head strap. It also prevents light leakage and reflection.

The Orange VR1 headset is compatible with a wide range of smartphones (4.7 to 6”) on any OS. The device is available from the Orange shops and at www.orange.be. Thanks to a special launch offer of 39 euros (incl. 2 years warranty), the Orange VR1 headset is the perfect gift for under this year’s Christmas tree.

Exclusive experience thanks to dedicated Orange app

Accompanying the headset is the ‘Orange VR 360’ application (for iOS/Android) which allows customers to use VR tutorials to ensure a quick and easy set-up, plus immediate access to 360 video content and services so they can experience real-life moments. With the app they can discover amazing videos, games and other stunning experiences and Orange will gradually add more content in the coming months.
